SPACE 4 INSPIRACTION AT THE EUROPEAN RESEARCHERS NIGHT 2017
NEW VISIONS OF SPACE AND NEW SPACE TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS FOR LIFE ON EARTH
Annalisa Dominoni + Benedetto Quaquaro were curators of the event, organized with ESA Italian venue, to present the results of the 1st edition of the Course SPACE4INSPIRACTION – inside the International Master of Science in Integrated Product Design at the School of Design, Politecnico di Milano – presented at the Big Hall during the European Researchers Night.
SPACE4INSPIRACTION is supported by the European Space Agency (ESA) with expert and scientists who suggested three project topics according with the aims of the Space strategic programs of Space agencies: Space Food, EVA Suit, Interplanetary Missions. The Course involved also students of mechatronics and aerospace engineering who worked in groups with our students in design.
The projects have a dual aim: if from one side they take inspiration by Space and define new visions, starting from real conditions and requirements, from the other, they imagine new spin-offs, or rather, terrestrial applications which could improve our daily life.
