A HUMAN HABITAT IN ICE: HABITAT ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN
Annalisa Dominoni + Benedetto Quaquaro have been invited by the Swiss Space Center at the IGLUNA kick off – an international and collaborative project on the visionary Space topic A HUMAN HABITAT IN ICE – with the task to develop the architecture and design concept of an extreme habitat demonstrating key enabling technologies for life support in frozen worlds.
The aim of IGLUNA is being a demonstrator project to foster academy to collaborate on an international level and investigate novel approaches for realizing a potential and sustainable human habitat in ice, in view of the MOON VILLAGE concept, in which a habitat is directly built in the ice that is present in numerous craters near the Moon poles.
