LONG NIGHT OF THE STAR
50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ESOC IN DARMSTADT
Annalisa Dominoni + Benedetto Quaquaro were invited by the European Space Agency (ESA) to participate in LONG NIGHT OF THE STARS, an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt, Germany.
The event presented the results of the 1st edition of SPACE4INSPIRACTION – the Course in SPACE DESIGN created and led by professors Annalisa Dominoni + Benedetto Quaquaro, inside the International Master of Science in Integrated Product Design at the School of Design, Politecnico di Milano – inspired by Space scenarios with the aim of finding connections between “living in Space” and “living on Earth.”
We studied astronauts’ activities in microgravity and the alterations of body postures and movements in relation to their objects, that can generate new gestures and ideas for innovative projects.
